Carlos Alcaraz Prepares for a Double Challenge in His Pursuit of an Olympic Medal in Paris

“I’ll be at an optimal level for both matches,” declared Carlos Alcaraz confidently on Tuesday after winning his doubles match with Nadal against the Dutch pair Griekspoor and Koolhof.

The young tennis star from Murcia faces a demanding Wednesday ahead. He is scheduled to play his singles match against Russian player Safiullin in the second slot of the morning session (not before 1:30 PM), followed by his doubles match alongside Nadal against the American duo Krajicek and Ram at 7:00 PM.

Two matches within a few hours, all in the quest for Olympic glory.

“I’m not afraid of being in both draws”
“We’re going to give everything we have, all our energy to face both matches at an optimal level physically and energetically, trying to improve and stay focused every moment. With determination, there’s nothing that can stop us,” stated Alcaraz, aiming to reach the singles quarterfinals and the doubles semifinals.

“I’m not afraid of being in both draws; it’s an exciting tournament for me, a dream. We’re going to give it our all to have enough energy to tackle both matches,” reiterated the Murcian, dispelling any concerns about his muscle discomfort.

“Doubles isn’t as demanding as singles. I haven’t had any issues with my right leg during support, and it has gone quite well. We’ll do everything possible to recover fully and compete tomorrow without pain or risking the season,” he concluded.
